The renowned Safrai Gallery in Jerusalem is sending Temple Adat Shalom 1,500 pieces of art created by 100 Israeli artists, which will be available for you to view (and perhaps purchase!) in our social hall turned Art Gallery. Our Art Gallery will be open February 21-24.  Admission to opening night showing includes kosher hors d’oeuvres, beverages and music. Your $10 admission fee can be applied to any art purchase (one admission fee per piece of art).

Temple Adat Shalom Amudei or Legacy members can come at 6:30 pm for a special preview, which includes free admission to the gallery! Israel is celebrating over 70 years of incredible theatre.  Roy Horovitz, a professional actor and past visiting professor at Texas University will fill the stage with a unique evening that fills the stage with his one man show and scenes and some song from a mix of the very best that Israeli theatre has to offer.  Featuring the work of Hanoch Levine, Anat Gov, Savion Libercat, Hillel Mittelpunkt, Nisim Aloni, Yehudah Sobol and more.

An actor, director, and dramaturge, Horovitz has been touring the world with Dan Clancy’s The Timekeepers for the past several years. He has directed on the stages of both the Cameri Theater of Tel Aviv and the Habima National Theater, two of Israel’s leading theaters, among others. Horovitz has taught theater at several institutions, including the University of Haifa, and has a regular spot on a radio broadcast, “Front Row,” which he also edits.

Hosted by TARBUTON AND SCIENCE ABROAD. A screening of the movie “On the Map“.

The screening will be followed by a Q &A session with Dani Menkin, the Director, Writer and Producer of the movie.

Dani Menkin’s documentary recounts the inspiring tale of the Israeli national basketball team’s 1977 win of the European Cup.

The movie is in Hebrew and English with English subtitles. The event is suitable for kids as well.

This event hosted by Science Abroad and Tarbuton.
